Josh Wednesday - July 09, 2008 I am so pleased to have found your site. Your renditions of the two Metallica songs have been burned in my head for over 10 years. I only heard them once you, your sister, and another gentleman were live on a Chicago radio show. Those two haunting versions of great songs have stuck with me all this time. Thank you.

Joy Sunday - March 30, 2008 I heard you tonight at the Columbus Symphony Orchestra concert. You were phenomenal and so inspiring!! I am a student studying viola here at the Schwob School of Music and I am interested in playing jazz and metal inspired music. Your site has given me much inspiration in going into this field. Thank you so much!!
Rachel: Thanks for coming to my concert, and good luck with your rock viola playing! I look forward to hearing you some day!
Karin Sunday - March 30, 2008 Rachel, I just read the article about you in the Chicago Tribune magazine and I wanted to let you know how touched I was by your story. I love classical violin, but I also love what you're doing on the rock/heavy metal side. You have an amazing gift and are on an equally amazing journey. Your music, as well as you, are truly inspiring.
Fred Sunday - March 30, 2008 Some years ago I had the pleasure of meeting you and receiving your autograph...You have bridged heavy metal and classical music...I watched the video clip on the Tribune today and it was truly inspirational!!! I continue to pass the "Rachel" word to my fellow headbangers...and the response is the same: "awesome".
Peter I just wanted to thank you for turning me on to classical music. I'm 36 years old and have been a lifelong fan of heavy metal. Metallica and Slayer are a couple of my favorites... I've always found classical music to be boring, but that's because I never gave it a chance and really listened to it. Then one day I heard you on the radio when you played some AC/DC and Zeppelin on the violin along with a classical piece and I was blown away. I immediately went out and bought "Storming the Citadel" and have been a fan of yours ever since. I now have CDs by Mozart, Bartok, Debussy and others alongside CDs by Motorhead, Megadeth and Sepultura. Thank you for broadening my horizons.
Bill Just wish to say a word or three about how much I am enjoying your playing. I bought your "Stringendo" CD as a curiosity a few weeks ago, and it has excited me more than any other recording I have listened to in a while. Being a longtime metal fan with only the very most glancing and superficial knowledge of classical, (own 1000+ CDs, maybe a dozen of which are classical) Stringendo has opened my eyes into a whole new realm. It has lead me to a curiosity and love for classical that Yngwie Malmsteen could not inspire, and I am a pretty big fan of his. Yesterday, I stumbled into "Instrument off the Devil", and bought it immediately. Thanks to these recordings, I have my first clues as to what classical I actually do like. Thank you for the first steps into broadening my musical horizons.
Michael I was at your show tonight and enjoyed it immensely! This was the first "classical" show I have been to, and since I knew the names, Vivaldi and Barton, I figured what the hell ...although I'm normally seen at a Dave Matthews Band concert! I just wanted to let you know, not that you need it, that you are doing a wonderful job and you really opened my eyes tonight. I am hoping to see you in another performance soon!
Neil I finally got to see you perform tonight in Albuquerque! It was awesome! This was my first Symphony and I loved it. I heard you on 94 Rock and had to go. I love music and I would like to understand classical music more. I haven't had a lot of exposure to it. You are so talented, thanks for playing here! Hopefully you will play here again soon.
Spence I recently purchased "Storming the Citadel" and I find it incredible. I had heard your version of "One" on the radio a few years back and finally picked up the CD... I have always liked classical music and heavy metal and had noticed similarities. Thanks again for an awesome CD!
Peggy I just wanted you to know that you have been a great inspiration in my life. I play the flute and love Metallica, Pantera, and other hardcore bands. It's really cool to know that there are people out there like me. I considered quitting band, but when my dad got me your CD, I decided that if I stuck to it that maybe one day I could release a flute CD with Metallica and Pantera and Megadeth songs on it. Thank you a thousand times over for being such an inspiration in my life!!!
Theresa I heard you play on XL102 in Richmond, Va. I thought your playing was great. I never knew violins could be so cool. Thank you for your time and keep rocking.
4G63POWER Howdy there Rachel... I saw you at Fat Cat in Modesto, Ca, sometime last year, and thought you were awesome! I bought your "Storming the Citadel" CD. Absolutely amazing! I have never heard Symphony of Destruction on a violin. That's one of my favorite songs. You are one of my favorite musicians. Keep up the good work!
Russell It's inspiring to hear AC/DC and Metallica played in a new way. Hopefully someday soon you'll be in New Mexico and I can hear it live. Best wishes
